What does CoverMania make?
Custom boat covers, spray hoods, sail bags and marine squabs; shade sails, awnings, drop curtains and umbrella canopies; indoor upholstery, window seats and cushions; leather work; and commercial canvas from equipment covers to banners. Everything is measured, made and fitted in Auckland.
How much does a custom boat cover cost?
It depends on the size of the boat and the fabric. Send photos and rough dimensions through the quote form and Sebastian will price it, usually within two working days. If a repair to your existing cover makes more sense, that is the quote you will get.
Do you repair covers, shade sails, awnings and umbrellas?
Yes. Restitching, patching, new zips, canopy washing and hardware replacement. For umbrellas we make replacement canopies to measure and repair wooden frames, broken arms and ribs. Seams and thread usually fail long before the fabric does, so a repair often costs a fraction of replacement and adds years of life.
Which areas do you service?
All of Auckland. Marine work is measured and fitted at your berth, including Westhaven, Bayswater, Gulf Harbour, Half Moon Bay and Pine Harbour. Outdoor, upholstery and commercial jobs are measured and fitted at homes and businesses across the region.
What fabrics and materials do you use?
Solution-dyed acrylics like Planasol, Sunbrella and Recasens for covers, awnings and sails; PVC-coated polyester where full waterproofing matters; commercial shade mesh; marine-grade foams, UV-stable thread and stainless fittings; and upholstery-grade fabrics and leathers.
How long does a job take?
You will usually have a price within two working days of sending photos. Most jobs are patterned, made and fitted within two to four weeks, depending on fabric availability and workload. You get a timeframe with your quote.
